Hospice

Bedspread cheerful,
His mouth, a small megaphone,
Proclaiming hopes
Hazardous to his own waning strength,
Fatigue encircling him,
Certainty losing its balance
Against weightless cells
Armed against
The final silence.

  • You have the gift of talented writing and timing. Today i spent time discussing hospice care for a dear friend. But i doubt she will leave the hospital. She is tired of dealing with ovarian cancer for almost 4 years. Such a sobering time January will be.
